Four trustee positions are up for election in May.
People interested in having their name placed on the ballot have until Monday to file.
The four positions up for election are Districts 3, 4, 8 and 9. Districts 4, 8 and 9 are for a six-year term, while the District 3 position is for a two-year term.
The person elected to the District 3 seat will serve the remainder of the term left by Jennifer Ramos when she resigned to be appointed District 3 San Antonio City Council member.
In an election order approved by the board Jan. 22, a person seeking a place on the ballot must be a resident of the district they wish to represent.
The order also states that elections will be May 10, and if needed, runoff elections will be June 14.
People interested in filing for office can find more information online at the district Web site or can contact the department of legal affairs.
All candidate packets must be turned in to the department of legal affairs by 5 p.m. Monday.
As of Monday, seven packets had been picked up but only two applications had been turned in, said Linda Hill, administrative assistant to general counsel Martha McCabe.
District 4 trustee Marcelo Casillas and District 8 trustee Gary Beitzel have turned in their packets; District 9 trustee James Rindfuss did pick up a packet but has yet to file.
Rindfuss told The Ranger in February that he planned to run for re-election.
Others who have picked up packets are Pat Jasso and Anna Bustamante, who did not indicate which district they were interested in.
Elida Molina and Ursulo Gomez also picked up packets to run for District 3.
District maps for all four areas also are available online at http://www.accd.edu/main/html/board/trustee_election.htm.
