A Mental Health First Aid Certification class is being offered by the Murgúia Learning Institute 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 20-21 in Room 212 of the nursing complex.

The two-day class is open to all faculty and staff.

The class is a five-step program that teaches attendees how to tell the difference between a disgruntled person and someone developing a mental health problem, Cynthia Price, statistical research specialist, said.

The class is being taught by Austin Travis County Integral Care and will be offered again this spring.

There are 15 spaces available. Attendees must attend both days to get certified.
