Both Temple Beth-el lots shared with this college will be closed to students beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday.
Lot 1 at Belknap and West Ashby places and Lot 2 at San Pedro Avenue and West Ashby will be closed in preparation for a Friday funeral service for William “Bill” Rashall Sinkin.
Sinkin, an Outstanding Former Student of this college, died Monday at the age of 100.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Temple Beth-el, 211 Belknap Place.
A banker, Sinkin pioneered integration and solar power and was a driving force in bringing world’s fair HemisFair ’68 to the city, coinciding with San Antonio’s 250th anniversary.
The lots will reopen to students at 3 p.m. Friday.
