Do you check your ACES email every day? The ACES student email is a great way to stay informed with up-to-date campus information.

Students receive campus alerts, including weather and crime, through the student email. Alamo Colleges uses student emails to send information about scholarships, campus events and important dates to remember. ACES also sends updates from financial aid and information about a student’s account.

ACES makes it easier to connect with faculty and other students. Business administration major Charlotte Watkins said, “I mainly use ACES for emailing my classmates and professors.” It is important to know a professor can only contact a student through this email and not a personal account.

A student email is also linked to their Canvas account and can be used to receive updates easily. If a professor adds assignments or grades, it will send an update to that email.

If a student is having trouble accessing their ACES account or they forget to check the student email, it can be forwarded to a personal email. A student can set up an auto forward address in ACES by following these steps, according to the website’s help center tab:

• Click on the options tab in the student email.

• Click auto forward.

• Type a personal email in the auto forward window.

• Click save to complete changes.

Students can download the Outlook app on to their phone, enter an ACES email address to synch.
