The Ford Holiday Parade and lighting ceremony, hosted by Paseo del Rio and sponsored by Ford Motor Company, will brighten the River Walk 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 28 at Arneson River Theater.

Mayor Ivy Taylor; Justin Holley, president of Paseo del Rio; Nancy Huntz, executive director of Paseo del Rio; and Larry Gach, Ford regional sales manager, will “flip the switch” at 7 p.m. for the River Walk holiday lights. The 80,000 lights will remain on until the first week of January.

Nancy Martinez, communications and marketing director for Paseo del Rio, said the theme for this year’s parade will be “Holiday Celebrations Around the World.”

Gordon Hartman, owner of the San Antonio Scorpions and CEO of the Gordon Hartman Family Foundation, will be grand marshal of the parade, which will have 28 boats total.

The 2-mile parade will begin at Arneson River Theater and end at Lexington Street Bridge.

General admission at Arneson River Theater is $15. Front row seating is $25, and fourth row seating is $10.
