Speak your mind or forever hold your piece — of pizza.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to ask questions at the Student Government Association’s “Pizza with the President” from noon-1:30 p.m. April 8 in the Fiesta Room of Loftin Student Center.
Students will have an opportunity to voice opinions or questions with college president, Dr. Robert Vela, in an open forum.
“This event is beneficial for the students as well the campus,” said Tiffany Cox, criminal justice professor and event organizer. “They will be able to criticize and share any thoughts they have with the president.”
Vela has been an advocate for this event since he was vice president at this college.
“I have attended every ‘Pizza with the President’ since I’ve been here at SAC,” Vela said. “It is a great venue and a great opening for the students.”
Vela understands there will be some questions he may not have ready answers for, so he will be prepared to set up one-on-one meetings with some students.
“I will do my best to answer every question and concern,” Vela said. “If I can’t, I will set up a meeting with those students and we can go from there.”
Vela also noted he has an open-door policy.
