Astronauts in space calling Scobee

Live downlink will allow NASA astronauts to chat with attendees.

The Scobee Education Center will host “Out of this World,” a live chat with NASA astronauts Scott Kelly and Kiell Lindgren, who are aboard the International Space Station, in the auditorium of McAllister Fine Arts Center Thursday.

The doors to McAllister will open at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, and attendees should be seated by 7:45 a.m. Presentations start at 8 a.m.

Special guests will include NASA astronauts Kent Rominger, Joe Acaba, and Capt. Mark Kelly along with Dr. Graham Scott, chief scientist for the National Space Biomedical Research Institute.

Mark Kelly is the twin brother of Scott Kelly, and Dr. Graham Scott will discuss the study, which involved the Kelly twins. This discussion will begin at 9 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
