Heroes & Fantasies at 4923 NW Loop 410 will sponsor an event at midnight Tuesday in celebration of the date Marty, Doc, and the DeLorean in “Back to the Future” zapped into 2015.

The event will run for about an hour, then pick up again at regular store hours 10 a.m.– 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A DeLorean equipped with “flux capacitor” and “Mr. Fusion” from the film will be on display for photo opportunities, floor manager Andrew Casares said Monday in a phone interview.

Marty McFly, his hooverboard intact, will be on hand in the form of a Cosplay fan.

IDW Publishing is set to release its new comic series based on the 1985 cult classic Wednesday, and those in attendance will have the opportunity to purchase an exclusive variant cover of the first issue made for the event.

Among other prizes for those in attendance at midnight, Heroes & Fantasies will offer a $15 “mystery box” of 15 comics of either Marvel, D.C., or an Independent retailer.

Casares admits that they are marketing to fans of the film because they know there is a good following.

“We know there are a lot of ‘Back to the Future’ fanatics out there, and we’re hoping this event can attract a whole new generation,” he said.
