Watson said in the beginning of the semester he teaches students how to paint shadows and highlights, but toward the end he expects them to learn on their own with practice. About 25 staff, faculty and students attended. They met in 1983 and started dating 10 years ago. Campus activities coordinator Carrie Hernandez planned the wedding with help from student life and new student orientation. “Y’all did so much for us,” Gerth said. “Y’all didn’t have too, but we really appreciate it.” Their favorite restaurant, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, catered their wedding. The club worked to get this project started for a semester and a half. Once they had the approval, they gathered more than 20 volunteers and had all materials and tools donated by Home Depot.
