Playoffs were April 4 at the aquatic and athletic center at Palo Alto College against Palo Alto. The Rangers won three sets to one. Sophomore Robin Rollins playing Ma Joad, freshman Steven Mirdjani playing Pa Joad, sophomore Lauren Hunt playing Mrs. Wainwright, sophomore Eric Dorsa playing Uncle John and sophomore Seth Casias playing Al Joad, are rehearsing for the play, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck adapted by Frank Galati, directed by Paula Rodriguez. The Joad family is having struggles because of the rain and flooding while Rose of Sharon is going through labor. The play will be showing March 30-31 at 7:30pm, April 1 and 6-8 at 7:30p.m., and April 2 and 9 at 2:30 p.m. Admission with SAC ID $5, senior and military $8, general admission $10. Thousands of people peacefully march 2.75 miles in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Jan. 16 from Martin Luther King Jr. Academy to Pittman-Sullivan Park. At its 30th anniversary, San Antonio’s march is the largest in the nation with an estimated 300 thousand participants.
