The communication design program’s Spring 2014 Student Portfolio Exhibition will open with a reception 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Thursday on the second floor hallway of Longwith Radio, Television and Film Building.

The event is open to the public with complimentary refreshments.

The exhibit will feature works from 22 students enrolled in ARTC 2435, Portfolio Development, in fall 2013.

The course requires students to produce 16 to 20 professional projects per person.

Berne Smith, professor of communication design, said the exhibition will feature 55 pieces of art selected from about 350 to 360 submissions.

Five faculty members held a juried show, where the 55 pieces were chosen to go on display.

The exhibition will be a “final critique of their body of work from the entire time they were here,” Smith said.

The exhibition will be on display until June 26.
