The Black Student Alliance, Black History Month Committee and the office of student life are sponsoring the eighth annual Dating Game 11a.m.-noon Friday in the round in Loftin Student Center.
The event is part of Black History Month activities at this college
Jacob-Aidan Martinez, assistant coordinator of student leadership and activities, said the event will be similar to that of the classic television show where a contestant asks a series of questions of three bachelors or bachelorettes and then chooses one for a date.
“They will try to be funny and all the questions will be appropriate — nothing crazy — and we give them questions so they don’t ask anything crazy,” Martinez said.
“Describe your ideal first date,” is a common question asked during the game Martinez said.
Students wanting to participate in the game must sign up the day of the event. Eight contestants, four women and four men, will then be picked at random.
Martinez said contestants are not required to go on a date but instead will win a prize.
The bachelor and bachelorette, along with the two winning contestants, will receive a Kindle Fire.
Martinez said the event will be fun for everyone with plenty of audience participation.
“It’s pretty funny and the students are super creative,” Martinez said.
Pizza and refreshments will be served.
