This year marks the first time this college is combining graduation push week and the transfer fair Mona Aldana-Ramirez, director of retention support services said.
“We felt that this was probably something to add to have in conjunction to have both events in conjunction that way students get that feel of graduation plus moving on to a four year university and continue their education” said Ramirez.
Graduation Push Week will be getting the word out to students about graduation Monday-Friday, she said.
Students can leave a video message for future San Antonio College graduates and information on how to complete the Diploma Pass to get a scholarship Monday and Tuesday in the mall said Ramirez.
Students will be able to speak with over 30 Universities at the Transfer Fair at 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Loftin Student Center.
The office of Public Relations decided to pull all resources together and have one big promotional event for students, she said.
At 9a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday Feb. 27 the 2nd Annual San Antonio College Graduation Rally will be held in the mall.
There will be a DJ named Juan Coronado who will announce distinguished graduates and give them recognition.
Also there will be other activities such as a dunking booth, photo booth, and free slice of pizza while it lasts.
On Friday Feb. 28 is the day that students are encouraged to wear shades of red and take a picture.
If students do this and share the picture on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #SACpride they may win a special prize.
