Students at this college will showcase their artistic talents from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the Fiesta Room of Loftin Student Center.

The office of student life presents its annual talent show every fall, and admission is free.

Jacob-Aidan Martinez, coordinator of student success, said there will be 10 performances. They will include singing and dancing as well as an acting and spoken-word presentation, Martinez said.

“Student life has been hosting the talent show since before I started four years ago,” Martinez said.

The first-place winner will receive a Kindle Fire, he said. Second- and third-place prizes are Beats earbuds and an iPod Shuffle, respectively.

The audience will mostly be students since it is in between classes, but the show is open to the public, Martinez said.

“Performers are encouraged to invite their family and friends, but the show is to engage students between classes to have a little fun,” Martinez said.
