A Palo Alto College librarian will host Thanksgiving Children’s Story Time and Crafts for 4-year-olds from Ray Ellison Family Center 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 23 in Room 201 of the Ozuna Library and Learning Center (REFC) day care.

Library assistant Melissa Moya is hosting the thanksgiving-themed event.

“It’s fun for the whole family, not just the little ones,” Moya said.

Parents should bring the family but don’t have to bring anything else.

“We will have everything provided,” Moya said.

The children have been gathering leaves all week in the REFC day care to make crafts, moya said. This Sunday those leaves will be cut up and used for “dressing up turkeys.” Kids will make feathers for turkeys, and parents will help with cutting and pasting in the crafts portion of the event.

Moya will read a Thanksgiving story, “Turkey Trouble,” by Wendi Silvano, to the children and other guests.

“The event is for the community, all kids are invited, the book is for ages 4 to 8, but any ages are welcome,” Moya said.

Snacks and drinks will not be served.
