The center for civic engagement and the health promotions office are teaming up with Project H.O.T. to provide students with an information session about safe sex Feb. 25.
Project H.O.T., 314 S. Flores St., is an organization formed to advance HIV prevention in San Antonio and Bexar County,
The organization provides free rapid HIV testing, condom and lube distribution and prevention education.
“No Glove, No Love” will be 11 a.m.-noon Feb. 25 in the health promotions office in Room 150 of Loftin Student Center.
There will a male and female condom demonstration and an information session about practicing safe sex.
Condoms will be given away, and door prizes and free snacks will be provided.
Student success adviser Mary Dayton said Project H.O.T., provides the health promotion office with condoms regularly.
Project H.O.T reports about 50,000 new HIV infections occur in the United States each year.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates one in five people who are HIV positive do not know they are infected.
