A variety of dance performances are open to the public.

“Vista Dances” presents a repertory dance ensemble in concert 8 p.m. May 2 in the Palmetto Center for the Arts at Northwest Vista College.
The performance consists of contemporary dance and contemporary ballet.
“All dances will be choreographed by faculty, students and a guest artist,” program coordinator Jayne King said.
The special guest is Randi Miles, music specialist at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Tickets are $3 for students, $5 for seniors and military, and $10 general admission.
“ExtravaDanza” is a recital scheduled May 8-9.
This performance is an end of term recital for the Northwest Vista dance program that features students demonstrating what they’ve learned through the semester.
On May 8, Program A is at 7:30 p.m and will feature modern dance, folkloric and contemporary dance.
Program B is at 8:30 p.m. and will feature ballet, jazz and social dance.
On May 9, Program C is at 7:30 p.m. featuring ballet, modern, jazz and Middle-Eastern dance.
Program D is at 8:30 p.m. and will feature Indian, contemporary, swing and ballet.
“Tickets sell out fast, so I advise everyone to buy tickets in advance,” King said.
