From the runway to the yellow brick road, the office of student life will sponsor model auditions 2–4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Fiesta Room of Loftin Student Center.

Models are needed for The Emerald City Fashion Show noon-1 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Fiesta Room.

Senior student success specialist Carrie Hernandez will direct the show.

Male and female students of all sizes are highly encouraged to audition, no experience necessary.

“We want to get students involved and promote student engagement,” Hernandez said Sept. 16.

She hopes to assemble at least 25 students to collaborate on the show.

The show is based on “The Wizard of Oz” and will need assistance from student designers to create costumes for the leading role of Dorothy and cast.

“It’s a great way of building confidence and meeting other students,” Hernandez said.

Students can rock any threads they feel most comfortable wearing for auditions, she said.

Up until the show, students will have six weeks of practice to improve their confidence and catwalk skills.

Practice will be 2–4 p.m. Tuesdays in the Fiesta Room.

Student life is also recruiting students to participate as designers, hair stylists, makeup artists, DJ and photographer.

For more information, call Hernandez at 210-486-0128.
