Inter-club Council discusses fall events

Cheshyre Cheese Club plan to host an open mic night Oct. 27.

Representatives from 21 student organizations discussed fall plans at the Inter-Club Council meeting Sept. 29 in the craft room of Loftin Student Center.

The Gay, Allied and Lesbian Association will host an LGBTQ Resource Fair 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Oct. 27 in the mall.

The organization also will host an LGBTQ History Showcase 9:25 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 2 in the library of Moody Learning Center.

The Cheshyre Cheese Club meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the writing center in Room 203 of Gonzales Hall.

The club will host an open mic night with a “nevermore” theme Oct. 27 in the cafeteria of Loftin.

Students can read poetry, sing and tell jokes dressed up as Edgar Allan Poe.

The Asian Languages and Cultures Club meets 3-5 p.m. Wednesdays in Room C301 of the CE Annex portables.

The Asian Pop Society meets 2-5 p.m. Fridays in the craft room of Loftin Student Center.

The society plans a mini festival Nov. 21 in the Fiesta Room of Loftin for International Education Week.

Also participating in the festival are the Asian Languages and Cultures Club and the Anime Club.

The Future Teachers Organization meets 1:40-2:40 p.m. Wednesdays in Gonzales Hall.

The room and time can vary. Check the bulletin boards at entrances to Gonzales to see where the meeting will be.

The Anime Club meets 4:10-6 p.m. Thursdays in Room 110 of Oppenheimer Academic Center.

The Parkour Club meets at noon every day in Loftin.

The Inter-club Council includes representatives from each club, society and organization at this college.
