Campus police were dispatched at 10:57 a.m. for an incident that involved two missing computers in the visual arts center.

Usha Venkat, director of information technology, said the Mac computers were taken from Room 202, which is used as a student lab.

“We were notified earlier and we’ve already identified them as our computers,” she said.

Joe Pabon, Alamo Colleges Police deputy chief, said they are still investigating the case.

“Right now we don’t know if they’re stolen or if they are missing,” he said. “We ran it as district property, which means that it’s missing but nothing to prove that it was stolen; not until we look into it further, then we can determine whether they were stolen or not.”

Visual arts Coordinator Rebecca Dietz declined to comment.
