Final exam week can be strenuous for students and faculty alike. The Writing Center is offering free coffee this week until 5 p.m. Thursday in Room 203 of Gonzales Hall.

Tutor Carlos Lopez, a 2011 English graduate, said there will be fresh, quality coffee available for anyone who is a part of the community at this college.

“We usually get enough to last all day,” he said.

Lopez said the Writing Center will have creamer and sugar for students to make coffee according to their preferences.

He said the Writing Center welcomes students to stay for tutoring sessions, finish homework and study for exams after finishing their coffee. Having free coffee is a part of the Writing Center’s ethos of putting the needs of the student first, Lopez said.

Lopez said the Writing Center has offered free coffee from both Starbucks and Local Coffee in past semesters.

            “Everyone loves it,” he said.

The Writing Center is open 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays.
